Penny Logic is a practical consultancy for small and medium-sized businesses. We help owners and leaders decide, shape and reset the things that matter.
It starts with a conversation. Before anything else, we want to understand your business, your situation and what is at stake. More often than not, that first discussion tells us both whether we can help.
Then we work with you, not around you. We look at the facts, weigh up the realities and set out a clear path your team can realistically deliver. No jargon, no theory and no fifty-page report.
We are realistic rather than optimistic. If we think something will not work, we say so.

I have spent more than thirty years running and advising businesses, most of them in the software industry. I have owned and run several small businesses of my own, so I know what it is like to make the payroll, win the next customer and decide where the limited time and money go. I have also been the person other owners call when a decision is hard or a project has gone quiet.
As managing director of several technology companies, I wore every hat a small business demands: finance, people, operations, contracts and legal, alongside the main job of getting products to market.
At S2IX, we delivered for the Department of Defence, alongside allied military forces in several countries, which meant leading teams and partners far larger than our own.
More recently, as chief operating and technical officer, I have advised software start-up HivePix on everything from pricing and operations to product and technology as it finds its market.
What that adds up to is practical judgement. I get to the real question quickly, weigh what is ideal against what is affordable, and set out a path a small team can deliver. I am comfortable in the technical detail when it matters, and just as comfortable leaving it out when it does not.
Small by design. You work directly with me, not with a team you have never met.
A short conversation is the sensible first step. We will tell you plainly whether we can help.
